Shipping and delivery policy

 

1 - Delivery zones and shipping costs

a) Mainland Portugal - the shipping cost is €3.90 for purchases worth less than €39.90. For purchases over €39.90 there are no associated shipping costs, shipping is free. (prices indicated include VAT at the legal rate in force);

b) Portuguese Islands and other European countries - shipping costs are subject to quotation upon request, to obtain this value, send an email to info@petlandshop.com with a print screen of the shopping cart;

c) Pick-up at the pick-up point – the pick-up point is located at the address in the baseboard and there is no associated cost for pick-up at this location;

d) Protected shipping – only available for mainland Portugal, the cost of protected shipping is €4.89 for purchases worth less than €39.90. For purchases worth more than €39.90, protected shipping costs €0.99. (prices indicated include VAT at the legal rate in force);

e) After payment has been made, it is not possible to change the shipping/delivery method.

 

2 - Shipping times

a) Mainland Portugal - orders are sent within a maximum period of 1 to 3 working days after the day of payment for orders registered before 12pm, after this time 1 working day may be added to the shipping deadline, with the exception of products duly identified with the specific delivery time for these products must also include the days indicated in the product information;

b) Portuguese Islands and other countries in Europe – orders are sent within 1 to 5 working days after the day of payment for orders registered before 12pm, after this time 1 working day may be added to the shipping deadline, with the exception of products duly identified with the specific delivery time, for these products you must also account for the days indicated in the product information;

c) Weekends, holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve do not count towards the expected shipping time, as orders are not dispatched on those days.

 

3 - Delivery times

a) Mainland Portugal - Delivery will take place within a maximum period of 1 to 2 working days after dispatch;

b) Portuguese Islands and other European countries – Delivery will take place within a maximum period of 7 to 15 working days after dispatch;

c) Pick up point - The order is available for collection within 3 to 5 working days after the day of payment and only after receiving our notification by email;

d) Weekends, holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve do not count toward the expected delivery time, as carriers do not operate on those days.

 

4 - Partial shipments and delays

a) Delays in shipping, delivery or collection – if your order is delayed, Pet Land reserves the right to change the expected delivery date and as long as it is within the legally established deadlines;

b) Situations in which delays may occur - The deadlines in points 2 and 3 may be longer and longer than those indicated, during the Black Friday, Christmas, New Year seasons, campaigns running on the website, or when stock runs out of products ordered, subject to request from the supplier, when there is a high number of unforeseen orders or for other reasons and factors beyond our control, namely, server errors and carrier availability and route;

c) Partial shipping - Pet Land reserves the right to partially deliver the order if any of the products are delayed in delivery and provided that all products are delivered within the legally established deadlines. If Pet Land is unable to deliver all products within the legally stipulated deadlines, a partial refund of the order will be made and only for products not sent.

 

5 - Delivery times

a) Mainland Portugal – Delivery takes place between 8am and 7pm on weekdays. It is not possible to schedule a time for delivery of your order;

b) Portuguese Islands and other European countries – Delivery takes place between 8am and 7pm on weekdays. It is not possible to schedule a time for delivery of your order;

c) Pick up point – order collection hours are exclusively from 2pm to 4pm.

 

6 - Number of delivery attempts

a) Mainland Portugal – It is important to make sure you enter an address where someone is there to receive the order. The carrier and/or distributor makes a delivery attempt, in case the customer is absent, you must contact us by email to schedule a second attempt (the courier is not obliged to contact the customer, although some couriers take the liberty of doing so). In the absence of contact or inability to arrange a second delivery attempt with the customer, the order returns to our headquarters within 5 days, within this period, the customer can choose to collect the order at the carrier's destination warehouse. After 5 days, the customer is responsible for the return cost (price upon request) and can decide whether they want the order to be sent again (cost of new shipping borne by the customer) or whether they prefer a refund of the amount paid (excludes refund of return costs).
In some cases and when the weight of the package allows, the carrier and/or distributor may choose to leave the order at the nearest pick-up point, after the first attempt (only when and if applicable, non-binding);

b) Portuguese Islands and other European countries – It is important to make sure you enter an address where someone is there to receive the order. The carrier and/or distributor only makes one delivery attempt, and the courier is under no obligation to contact the customer, although some couriers take the liberty of doing so. In the absence of contact or inability to contact you, the order will be returned to the shipping address and the customer will be responsible for the return cost (price upon request). In some cases and when the weight of the package allows, the carrier and/or distributor may choose to leave the order at the nearest pick-up point, after the first attempt (only when and if applicable, non-binding);

c) Deadline for collection at the pick up point – you can collect the order within a maximum period of 7 working days after the day on which the order becomes available for collection;

d) Cancellation of orders from the pick up point – if you do not pick up your order within a maximum period of 7 working days, it will be considered returned and the return costs will be borne by the customer (price upon request).

 

7 - Changes to this policy

Pet Land - Artigos para Animais reserves the right to change, add or revoke, partially or totally, these shipping/delivery conditions without prior notice and with immediate effect.
