Pet Land – Artigos para Animais is committed to protecting the personal information and the right to privacy of all users of this website.
This Privacy Policy regulates the collection and processing of data and the use of cookies.
If the user does not accept, in whole or in part, the established terms and conditions, the user should immediately stop browsing the website.
Visiting the website does not automatically register any personal data that identifies the user.
However the user’s personal data may be requested when using certain content or services.
Pet land’s objectif is to establish the relationships of trust between our customers and the quality of the products and services.
The mere use of the website, as well as a request for any information sent through the website, implies the full acceptance of our terms and conditions and this privacy policy.
2. Data Collection and Processing
Pet Land - Artigos para animais is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of users’ personal data.
a. What data do we collect, when and why?
When you make a purchase through our website we collect certain information from you, including your name, address, e-mail, Tax ID Number, contact number in order to fulfill your order and proceed with the goods shipment and delivery to your address or prepare them for the pick-up at our store.
Additionally when subscribing for our newsletter, promotional campaigns offers or when registering your pet to participate in our Loyalty programs, we collect your data, including your name, e-mail, contact phone numbers and the relevant information about your pet. By registering for such subscriptions you accept our Privacy Policy. These subscriptions involve sending out marketing and commercial information on our store and our partner’s services, goods and products.
We can also request your personal data (Name, E-mail, Contact phone number, City) when you interact with us through our online support services and chat, or by completing our contact form or the service reservation form. This data may be used for marketing purposes to inform about promotional events, services, our partners’ products.
When registering as a pet sitter the following data is requested: Name, Address, Date of Birth, Citizen Card or Passport Number, Portuguese Tax ID Number, photo, E-mail, Contact phone number. This data is used to create the Pet Sitter form, which is stored by Pet Land, and may be provided to our clients (pet owners) when seeking our pet sitting services.
All personal data are captured, processed and stored by Pet Land and are solely for the purposes of providing and improving our services, sending out the commercial information, answering to our clients’ requests relating to their orders, invoices, authentication and user’s identification requests, improvement of services and user identification. This data may also be used for legal and tax purposes or may be provided to business partners to process orders.
b. How long your data is kept?
Your data is kept and stored while the user’s account is maintained active. In the event no existing active account is found, the personal data gathered while interacting through our online support and/or our contact and/or registration forms when subscribing to receive our newsletters, discount offer and/or advices, will be retained until the right to opposition to its treatment is exercised by the User.
c. Do we disclose your data to third parties?
The personal information that you provide to us will be used solely by our employees and in some instances by our partners for the purpose to fulfill your request for specific goods and services or support your interest in such goods and services
Pet land assumes that all the data gathered from you through the website is accurate and up-to-date and was entered by the respective holder or its insertion was authorized by the same.

3. Use of ‘cookies’
To make our site work properly, we use cookies (small data files that the website place on the user’s device when the user visits the website.
